Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday taught by Ms. Danielson.

Expectations:
– Students are expected to finish any questions not completed in class. This will help them prepare for the quizzes
– Homework will be checked in class for completion, but students do not need to hand it in. They will be assessed on the bi-weekly quizzes and math challenges
– If you are absent you are expected to complete the work you missed. Students will get the assignments they missed from their homeroom teacher. They are also encouraged to check the website, check in with a peer, or email the teacher to find out what they missed.
– Students will often be given the answer key to “check their understanding”/ mark their work
– Homework and quiz corrections: Students are expected to make corrections in pen to help them recognize where they need more practice
– All Math quizzes are sent home and need to be seen by parents
– Study tip: review your homework questions and corrections before the quiz 🙂

Term 1 Curriculum:
– Place value to one million (standard, expanded and written form)
– Ordering and Comparing large numbers
– Adding and subtracting whole numbers
– Multiplication of whole numbers (up to 3 digit x 2 digit numbers)
– Division of whole numbers (long and short division)
– Decimals to thousandths
